FIV & FeLV combination test for cats

Test type: Self-test cats

Pickup method: blood

The FIV & FeLV Combo Rapid Test Kit is a dual-function self-test designed for the qualitative detection of feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) antibodies and feline leukemia virus (FeLV) antigens in cat whole blood, serum, or plasma. This test allows cat owners and veterinarians to test for two of the most serious and life-threatening viral infections in cats using one simple procedure.

FIV (also known as feline AIDS) is a slow-acting virus that weakens a cat's immune system, making them vulnerable to other infections and diseases. It is typically transmitted through deep bite wounds, most commonly in outdoor cats or unneutered male cats.

Common symptoms of FIV and/or FeLV may include:

  • Chronic or recurring infections
  • Weight loss and poor coat condition
  • Swollen lymph nodes
  • Persistent fever
  • Lethargy and reduced appetite
  • Gum disease and inflammation
  • Reproductive problems or failure to thrive in kittens
