Description

The GetTested breathalyzer test is a simple saliva test. It quickly shows you how much alcohol is in your system. Results are available within 3 to 5 minutes. This allows you to easily and discreetly assess your blood alcohol content and monitor your alcohol consumption.

About the GetTested breathalyzer test

The GetTested breathalyzer is a quick and easy rapid test that measures blood alcohol concentration (BAC) using a saliva sample. The alcohol concentration in saliva is known to be very similar to that in blood, making the test a reliable method for determining your blood alcohol content. The test works through a special enzymatic reaction that causes the color to change depending on the amount of alcohol in the sample.

Using the test – step by step

To get accurate breathalyzer test results, follow these steps:

  1. Preparation: Remove the plastic device from the sealed bag and place it on a flat surface.
  2. Apply saliva: Bring the reaction pad into contact with your saliva and wait 3-5 minutes for the results.
  3. Interpretation of the resultsAfter 3-5 minutes, the reaction pad will change color depending on the alcohol concentration in your blood. Use the color scale on the foil pack to compare and estimate your relative BAC.

Understanding your test results

  • PositiveA color change on the reaction pad indicates the presence of alcohol in the saliva. The color scale ranges from light blue at 0.02% to dark blue at 0.30% relative BAC.
  • Negative: If no color change occurs, the test indicates that there is no alcohol in the saliva.
  • Invalid: If the test does not work as expected (e.g. if the color of the pad does not change at all), the result may be invalid and the test should not be used.

The importance of correct use

To obtain reliable results, it is important to use the GetTested breathalyzer correctly. The test can detect alcohol concentrations from 0.02% to 0.30%, thus providing an accurate reading of blood alcohol content. The test is sensitive to various types of alcohol (methyl, ethyl, and allyl alcohol). However, it is generally not affected by other substances in saliva.

The product bears the CE mark and complies with European safety standards for use by professional users.
